RCB Playing 11: After a win in the opening game of the competition, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 6th match here at Chennai. A win over defending champions Mumbai Indians would have given huge confidence to the RCB and they would look to continue the momentum. In the 18 matches played between SRH and RCB, 10 games have gone in SRH’s tally while RCB has won just 7. It was a close contest last year with both teams winning a league fixture each but SRH eventually went on to win the much anticipated eliminator. With a win under their belt, RCB will start this match as a confident side.
Devdutt Padikkal will be available for this game and should straight away slot back into the eleven. He is expected to replace Shahbaz Ahmed. Rest of the eleven is expected to be the same. Here is how their eleven could be shaped up for this match:
RCB Playing 11 (likely)
D Padikkal
V Kohli (C)
R Patidar
G Maxwell
A de Villiers (wk)
D Christian
W Sundar
K Jamieson
H Patel
M Siraj
Y Chahal
With Kohli and Padikkal at the top, RCB have a settled opening pair. The inclusion of Maxwell into the middle order has eased the burden off de Villiers and it makes this line-up even more dangerous. Harshal Patel’s performance in the last game was a big positive for a side which has often struggled at the death.
