SRH Playing 11: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are currently on a roll in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Kane Williamson-led team has displayed some sensational all-round performances to win as many as three matches in a row against Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders. In their sixth match of IPL 2022 season, the Sunrisers Hyderabad will be crossing swords against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 17 April at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.

In an important news update, off-spinner Washington Sundar continues to remain unavailable for the second game in a row after having torn the webbing in his right hand between his thumb and first finger. Sundar sustained the injury while fielding during the previous match against Gujarat Titans. Due to the same injury, he could not complete his full quota of four overs in that match and ended with figures of 0/14.

In Washington Sundar’s absence, Sunrisers Hyderabad drafted left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith in their playing 11 for the last match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Suchith registered figures of 1 for 32 in his three overs that included the wicket of Aman Khan. He is now expected to retain his place in the team for the game against Punjab Kings on Sunday.

After a sensational match-winning performance from Rahul Tripathi against KKR, time seems to be running out for Abhishek Sharma who has scored just a single fifty in the last 5 matches. The Sunrisers Hyderabad might be forced to promote Tripathi at the top of the order in case Abhishek fails to deliver the goods during the upcoming games. SRH are very much likely to go in with an unchanged playing 11 against Punjab Kings.
