SRH Playing 11 for CSK vs SRH, Match 17 of IPL 2022: Player Availability & Team News

SRH Playing 11: Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the game from nowhere against Lucknow Supergiants in their second game of the season. Kane Williamson’s move to open the batting has backfired so far in the season although its only 2 games into the season, an innings controller like him would be best suited to bat at #3. SRH have also made some tactical blunders on the field which Kane Williamson will be looking to rectify in the coming games.
CSK vs SRH: Glenn Phillips available for selection
The Kiwi wicket keeper Glenn Phillips who joined the SRH camp later than others has completed his quarantine and will be available for selection for this game. There are no vacant spots in the middle order and he will not be considered unless SRH want to drop Aiden Markram and play the Kiwi.
Highest Paid Player in IPL 2022
SRH have one of the best Indian pace bowling units if not the best. Kartik Tyagi is an exciting all phase bowler but SRH are not giving him a chance. He showed his class in the 2nd half of IPL 2021 for Rajasthan Royals. Though Umran Malik is bowling rockets at 150 kmph, he lacks control big time and is extremely one dimensional with no change ups whatsoever. Their two leading Indian pacers in Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan found their rhythm in the second game but SRH would want them to continue their good work throughout their season. The fact that these two pacers are injury prone will always be a concern for them.
Probable SRH Playing 11
- Kane Williamson
- Abhishek Sharma
- Rahul Tripathi
- Nicholas Pooran
- Aiden Markram
- Abdul Samad
- Washington Sundar
- Romario Shepherd
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
- Umran Malik/Kartik Tyagi
- T Natarajan
SRH will be pondering over opening with either of Rahul Tripathi or Aiden Markram and push back Kane Williamson to his natural position at #3.
