SRH Player to Leave IPL 2021 Phase 2 Midway? Here’s the official update

IPL 2021 Sherfane Rutherford: Sunrisers Hyderabad have suffered another blow as their new recruit Sherfane Rutherford will leave the second phase of IPL 2021 midway. The West Indies player will join his family after the demise of his father. SRH took to Twitter to announce the uneventful news.

“The #SRH family conveys its heartfelt condolences to Sherfane Rutherford and his family on the passing away of his father. Sherfane will be leaving the IPL bio-bubble to be with his family in this difficult hour,” wrote Sunrisers Hyderabad on their official Twitter page.
The 23-yeard old cricketer shared his father’s pictures on his Instagram account with a heartfelt caption. His post read, ““In life death is always the hardest thing and sometimes I ask why it happens but only god knows why but my dad has now leave me for a lifetime,my heart is broken am definitely not the same anymore we had so much plans I even send home my winning cpl top for you to wear and enjoy my success but it didn’t happen .god I Pray that u take me through this I just can’t take it ,it’s too hard like how can he leave without saying anything why why why,”

SRH roped in Rutherford as Bairstow’s replacement
The orange brigade signed up for the West Indies player- Sherfane Rutherford for the second phase of IPL 2021 after England’s Jonny Bairstow opted to withdraw from the remaining matches of the tournament. The left-handed batsman was in sublime form in CPL 2021. While this was his first stint with SRH, the Caribbean player had played for Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

SE Rutherford played for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the latest edition of the CPL and was in fine form. In the 10 innings, he smashed 262 runs with an economy 37.42. He had smashed three fifties in the tournament.
