Hendricks dropped, Markram in
South Africa have been dominant in the first three ODIs against Sri Lanka so far but Reeza Hendricks has failed to make any impact. In three games he has scored 1,29, and 4 runs. On the other hand , Aiden Markram has been in incredible form in the Momentum One Day Cup. Markram has scored 169, 139, and 85 runs in three innings and courtesy of these scores he has replaced Hendricks in the squad.

Duminy brings good balance in the team: Faf du Plesis
Skipper Faf du Plesis said that they have spoken about the balance they would like, and when you add JP to that you only need five overs from him and your all-rounder.
He feels that it’s a real good balance that Duminy brings to the table and his experience is amazing. Faf du Plesis noted that the most important thing from JP’s point of view is that he got over his injury so it’s great that he got runs, but that was the concern from them, just from the leadership group that he goes and plays two games, gets back into cricket.

About Amla, du Plesis noted that Hash has played a lot of cricket for South Africa and has got an amazing record. But they needed to make sure Reeza got an opportunity this series. He explained that if Hash gets another opportunity coming back into the side, hopefully he grabs that with both hands.
