Former Indian captain, Sourav Ganguly has been an able administrator until now for the apex cricket body, BCCI. Through his leadership, IPL 2020 was successfully organized in United Arab Emirates among lockdown crisis in India. His volume of records and knowledge in the cricket field has certainly helped the team to grow across all the formats.

The former captain and batsman, and now the president of BCCI has given the confirmation regarding his biopic.
“Yes, I have agreed to the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to reveal the name of the director now. It will take some more time for everything to be finalised,” Ganguly told News 18 Bangla.
If the reports are to be believed, the film will have a budget of around 200-250 Crores. The script is being written and there have been multiple meetings of Ganguly with film director. The lead role is expected to be performed by Ranbir Kapoor due to Ganguly himself mentioning multiple times in the past that he desires to see the actor enact his role in the biopic. The entire journey until the former cricketer becomes BCCI President will be covered in the film.

- One of the best captains in the Indian Cricket history who was responsible for upliftment of players like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Harbhajan and Zaheer and helped the country to win crucial series against the team like Australia.
- Under him, the young Indian team won the 2002 Natwest Trophy at Lord’s which was the turning point of Indian Cricket.
- They followed it up winning 2002 Champions Trophy and emerging as the runner-up in the 2003 World Cup.
- He is the third fastest batsmen to reach 10,000 ODI runs.
