There is more bad news for Indian cricket as two more players have tested positive for the coronavirus. Team India was left in dire straits on Tuesday morning as Krunal Pandya tested positive, and all those in close contact with him were asked to isolate. Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham are the latest players down with the virus.

Chahal and Gowtham were two of the eight players in isolation. The duo, therefore, did not take part in the last two T20 games against Sri Lanka. They will stay back in Colombo and six other players while the rest of the squad returns to India.
The six other players are Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Manish Pandey, Hardik Pandya, Deepak Chahar, and Ishan Kishan.
According to the Sri Lankan government’s guidelines, anyone who tests positive for the coronavirus needs to isolate for at least ten days before he is allowed to leave the country.
Sri Lanka Hammer India in 3rd T20I
Sri Lanka made short of a makeshift Indian line-up in the third and final T20 held at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and elected to bat. All five batters India was playing failed miserably and fell to some fine spin bowling. Bhuvneshwar Kumar came into bat as early as the 5th over.
Birthday boy Wanindu Hasaranga had a night to remember. He picked up two wickets in his first over and followed it by a couple more towards the end. The visitors failed to deal with some quality spin bowling on a sluggish pitch. India finished with a paltry 81 runs thanks to some resistance offered by Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav. In reply, Sri Lanka had little trouble in the chase. They won by 7 wickets with 33 balls to spare. Rahul Chahar was the only bowler amongst the wickets.
Brief Scorecard: India 81-8 in 20.0 overs (Kuldeep Yadav 23*, Bhuvneshwar Kumar 16, Wanindu Hasaranga 4-9, Dasun Shanaka 2-20) lost to Sri Lanka by 7 Wickets (Minod Bhanuka 18, Dhananjaya de Silva 23, Rahul Chahar 3-15)
