SL vs IND 1st ODI: Possible Playing 11 of Sri Lanka

SL Playing 11: India’s tour of Sri Lanka is finally going to start as both teams get ready to play the first ODI here at Colombo. Sri Lanka have been affected by off-field issues resulting in a captaincy change. A number of Covid-related issues in the team have further hampered their preparations for this series. Combined to all these issues, their own recent form hasn’t been great as well. If SL manages to perform well in this series, it will be a major confidence booster for them. Both teams have played a total of 159 ODIs till date in which India leads Sri Lanka 91-56.

• Dasun Shanaka has been appointed the captain of the side while Dhananjaya de Silva has been named vice-captain.
• Kusal Perera is out of the entire series due to shoulder injury.

Dasun Shanaka will have big responsibility on his shoulders to lead a side which has gone through a lot in the last few days. Dhananjaya de Silva has been in good form recently and he will be the key in the middle order. Dushmantha Chameera is bowling with good pace and is in good wicket-taking form. Legspinner Wanindu Hasaranga can be handy in these conditions with his variations.
