Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka begins with the most exciting format in T20s on 7th of June. Australia will be defending the T20 world cup later this year in their home and they will be looking to use this series as a preparation for their title defence. Sri Lanka have a decent side under their disposal and would be looking to avenge for their T20I series defeat earlier this year in Australia.
SL vs AUS: David Warner to be highest run getter
The southpaw is coming after a fantastic IPL to say the least. Although he ghosted big time towards the end of the season as he endured 3 consecutive failures in 3 do or die games, he looked at ease till that point in time. He ended up as the highest run getter for his side, Delhi Capitals. He was also seen handling faster bowlers pretty well which was not the case in the last 2 seasons or so.
The fact that David Warner has excellent records against Sri Lankans makes him a top contender for the batsman with most runs in the series.
T20I Matches vs SL | Runs | Average | Strike rate |

David Warner has scored a 100 against Sri Lanka in T20Is. The destructive opening batsman also has 2 half centuries in Sri Lankan conditions in this format.
SL vs AUS: Mitchell Starc to bag most wickets in the series
Mitchell Starc is fresh after a 2 month long break. He didn’t register for the IPL and was spending some quality time with his family. The lanky quick has excellent records against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka. He will take the new ball for Australia but Aaron Finch hasn’t bowled him extensively with the new ball, which is Mitchell Starc’s stronger suit, in the recent past which was one weird thing. It will be interesting to see how Aaron Finch manages Mitchell Starc with the ball.
