Shivam Dube was last seen in the first half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. While representing the Rajasthan Royals (RR), the all-rounder scored 145 runs in 6 matches. Dube made his international cricket debut for India in November 2019 in a T20I match against Bangladesh and also got his maiden ODI cap just the next month against the West Indies. In 12 T20Is, left-handed batter has smashed 105 runs at a strike-rate of 136.36 that also includes a career-best score of 54. He has also picked up 5 wickets in 11 innings with a best of 3 for 30. The seam-bowling all-rounder has played a single ODI match since making his debut in 2019.
After having given several opportunities at the international level, the 28-year-old has been dropped from the radar and a below-par performance in IPL 2021 made matters worse. He wasn’t picked in the India limited-overs squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour. He will now be seen in action during the IPL Phase 2 scheduled to be played in the UAE in September-October.
