Shardul Thakur Marriage: Seems like the wedding season isn’t coming to a close in the Indian cricket team. After KL Rahul and Axar Patel, another Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur has got hitched with his fiancĂ© Mittali Parulkar in a grand wedding on 26 February in Mumbai.

The Indian cricket team is currently in the middle of a Test series against Australia. The third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy is slated to take place on March 1 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore but Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer took some time out to attend Shardul Thakur marriage. Besides Rohit and Shreyas, Shardul’s former and current Mumbai domestic teammates Abhishek Nayar and Siddesh Lad were also present at the wedding.
What next for Shardul Thakur?
Shardul Thakur will be gearing up for the 3 match ODI series against Australia in March. Thakur is the front runner for taking another fast bowling all-rounder spot in the eleven after Hardik Pandya. With the ODI World Cup looming this year, Shardul Thakur is looking forward to cementing his place in the Indian ODI squad. The upcoming ODI series against Australia would be crucial for the all-rounder to gain confidence going ahead.
After the ODI series against Australia, Shardul Thakur will don KKR’s Gold & Purple in the upcoming IPL season slated to get underway from March 31. This would be Shardul’s first stint for KKR in the IPL having represented CSK and DC in previous editions of the cash-rich league.
