Shane Warne makes a big statement about Virat Kohli!

Legendary Australia spinner Shane Warne has said in an interview that Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers as the best batsmen across all the formats from the current generation and stated that the Indian captain has achieved what even Sachin Tendulkar could not.

Speaking in the context of successful chases, Warne indicated that Virat Kohli has hit 19 centuries while Sachin has only managed to score 17 centuries.

Virat Kohli is only behind Sachin in the list of most ODI hundreds with 35 centuries to his name.

“The way Virat plays is incredible. It’s uncanny how many times he has got hundreds in ODI cricket chasing down big totals. Even Sachin couldn’t do what Virat has done,” he asserted in an interview.

Warne also said that he believes Sachin and Brian Lara as the two best batsmen of his playing time. And now Virat and AB de Villiers are the best.

One cannot make a choice between them.

Warne has also predicted that Kohli would score great runs on India’s England Tour.

“I love his energy and passion for the game. I am sure when he finishes in ten years or so he would be spoken about in the same breath as Sachin,” he said.
