Rahul Tripathi Catch: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are currently crossing swords against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Eoin Morgan-led KKR team hasn’t had the best of performances this season having lost four of their five games so far this year. However, after winning a crucial toss and opting to bowl first, the KKR bowlers have been spot on so far with some quick wickets in regular intervals.

Rahul Tripathi has been absolutely phenomenal in the field for the Kolkata Knight Riders this season. Tripathi took another sensational diving catch in today’s game to dismiss Punjab Kings’ well-set opener Mayank Agarwal. On the second of the 12th over, Mayank was forced to play a lofted shot to increase the scoring rate but Rahul Tripathi took a fantastic catch while diving forward to send the Punjab Kings opener back to the pavilion.

Mayank Agarwal could manage to score 31 runs off 34 balls which included 2 sixes and 1 four. However, Punjab Kings find themselves in a big heap of trouble after having lost key wickets in clusters.

Punjab Kings in-form skipper KL Rahul was the first one to get out after scoring 19 runs off 20 balls. None of their batters took any responsibility to play a big innings to lead the team to a challenging total. The wicket at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad was not that difficult but the Punjab Kings batters have only themselves to blame for this poor batting display. The Punjab Kings eventually managed to post 123 for 9 in their 20 overs. For KKR, Prasidh Krishna picked up three vital wickets while Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine also finished with two scalps each.
