Sanjay Manjrekar was particularly impressed by the never give up attitude of this new Indian side who believes in giving their all until the last ball.
“India under Virat in NZ reminds me of Pakistan under Imran. Strong self belief as a team. Pakistan under Imran found different ways of winning matches, often from losing positions. That only happens when the self belief is strong,” he tweeted after India whitewashed the Kiwis 5-0 in the T20I rubber.

There’s no doubt that Virat Kohli has left any stone unturned ever since India started their home season in September 2019. They have forged their way into the best side across format and Kohli’s grit will take this team places.
He also showered praise on KL Rahul
Be it opening, number five, four, wicket-keeping or captaincy, KL Rahul has done everything in the last few months apart from bowling. He had his task cut out with precision and the same was seen in this series where he was chosen the ‘Player of the Series’.
Manjrekar undoubtedly pipped KL Rahul as the find of the series. Here’s what he tweeted about the right-hander;
“Find of the T20 series in NZ for me is the ‘batsman keeper’ K.L. Rahul. Absolutely brilliant,” Manjrekar tweeted.
What awaits Team India now
After blanking the Blackcaps 5-0 in the T20I series, the two teams will march into the three-match ODI series which commences from February 5th at the Seddon Park in Hamilton.
