The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the details of payments made to Indian cricketers, coaches, support staff and external agencies in the month of August. Since the new Grade system coming to effect, it was first such announcement by BCCI.
Skipper Virat Kohli is the most paid having received Rs 1,25,04,964 as his match fees for the South Africa series as well as the prize money from ICC.
Breakdown of payments made to Virat Kohli:
Rs 65,06,808: Match fees for South Africa Test series
Rs 30,70,456: Match fees for South Africa ODI series
Rs 29,27,700: ICC Test Ranking prize money received
BCCI announced the head coach, Shastri was paid a whopping sum of 2.05 crore INR as advance fees for a duration of three months for his services.
Indian players were handed their shares from the central contract besides award money for securing the no.1 spot in the ICC Rankings. Here are the details.
