‘Shame on You’: What made Sakshi Dhoni furious

Sakshi Dhoni took to twitter to slam the media house for false reporting against her husband, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Her reaction came just a few hours after news broke that the former Indian skipper donated 1 lakh INR to the Corona Relief fund. The superstar received backlash from the Twitterati over the proportions of his donations. The critics did not hesitate to point out his total worth. Even the fans of Dhoni found it hard to defend the star wicketkeeper and displayed their disappointment.

The Real Story:

However, several fans came in his support, including his wife, Sakshi Dhoni. On further investigations, it was discovered that the story released in Media was a haphazard one. The contribution of MS Dhoni was not made towards the PM or CM relief fund, but it was made towards an NGO in Pune.

The report further suggested that Dhoni donated one lakh rupees to Mukul Madhav Foundation, a charitable trust in Pune. The NGO was collecting its fund through the crowdfunding platform Ketto and had set a target of 12 Lakh INR. The trust is based in Pune, one of the significant epicenters of Novel Coronavirus in India.

Reports also suggest that this money will be used to provide basic groceries to the daily wage workers who are stranded in the city due to the closure of the border. The funds will also be used to help native Pune daily wage workers and their families.

Sakshi Dhoni slams Media reporters:

The initial story put MS Dhoni in a bad light and eventually led to heavy criticism of MS Dhoni. Mr. Cool of India cricket did not react to the heavy criticism. However, the other half of veteran Indian wicketkeeper lashed out at fake reports. She wrote a strong tweet slamming the media house for wrong reporting. She said

“I request all media houses to stop carrying out false news at sensitive times like these! Shame on You! I wonder where responsible journalism has disappeared !”

Though she did not point out the exact news, she was referring to, but Sakshi Dhoni’s timing and tone made it pretty evident.
