SA vs BAN: In a massive breaking news, Bangladesh’s senior all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will not be available for the third ODI against South Africa scheduled to start on 23 March (Wednesday) at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The ongoing exciting three-match South Africa vs Bangladesh ODI series is currently levelled with a 1-1 scoreline. After a disappointing loss in the first game, the hosts came back strongly to register a comprehensive 7-wicket win in the second ODI game to level the series.

In a huge blow for the visiting Bangladesh team, premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is very much unlikely to be available for the rest of the South Africa tour after a number of his family members have been hospitalised due to multiple ailments. Shakib has already left the Protean nation in order to return back home ahead of the SA vs BAN 3rd ODI match on Wednesday. This is a big setback for the visitors as the 34-year-old senior cricketer was the Man of the Match during Bangladesh’s first-ever win on South African soil as they registered an incredible 38-run victory in the first ODI.
In the first ODI game against South Africa, Shakib Al Hasan scored a brilliant knock of 77 runs off just 64 balls that included a total of 7 fours and 3 sixes to help Bangladesh reach a massive first innings total of 314 for 7 in their 50 overs.

South Africa vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI
Post missing the opening ODI of the series, South Africa’s premier wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock made a fine comeback during the last game. De Kock smashed 62 runs off 41 deliveries that consisted 9 fours and 2 sixes. South African players like de Kock, Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Marco Jansen, Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller will leave for IPL 2022 after playing the third and final ODI against Bangladesh.
After the third ODI, both South Africa and Bangladesh are scheduled to lock horns in a two-match Test series starting from 31 March in Durban while the second and final Test will begin from 8 April in Port Elizabeth.
