Ruturaj Gaikwad, Chennai Super Kings batsman, is all set to tie the knot with his fiancée Utkarsha Pawar.
Ruturaj Gaikwad Marriage Date
Ruturaj Gaikwad’s marriage is scheduled for 3 June 2023, as per media reports. The news of their upcoming marriage came as a surprise, as there were no prior hints about it.
Who is Ruturaj Gaikwad wife?
Utkarsha’s full name is reportedly Utkarsha Amar Pawar. She was born in Pune in 1998 and is a pace bowler. Not much information is available about Utkarsha in the public domain. Details about her family are currently unknown. Gaikwad and Pawar have been in a relationship for the past two years. The couple was spotted together in the gym last year.
Similar to many cricketers, Gaikwad’s name has previously been linked with actresses. There were rumors of him dating Marathi actress Sayali Sanjeev at one point, and Gaikwad had once left a heart emoji comment on one of Sanjeev’s Instagram posts.
Ruturaj Gaikwad Family
Gaikwad hails from a humble family background, and both of his parents have settled in their respective professions. He is the only child and has no siblings. When he made his debut in the Indian Premier League for the Chennai Super Kings, he revealed that his mother couldn’t believe it until his friends arrived at his house with a cake to celebrate the occasion.
It should be noted that Ruturaj Gaikwad is not related to former Indian cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad. Currently, Gaikwad is having a remarkable IPL season with Chennai. After a challenging season last year, the Maharashtra-born right-handed batsman has made a strong comeback this season. Prior to getting married to Utkarsha, he aims to win the IPL trophy for the second time in his career.
Yashasvi Jaiswal replaces Ruturaj Gaikwad in India’s WTC Squad
In terms of the World Test Championship, Gaikwad was among the three reserve players in the Indian squad for the upcoming final against Australia. However, he has been replaced by uncapped player Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal has been in excellent form during IPL 2023 and also possesses impressive numbers in first-class cricket, having scored 1,845 runs at an average of 80.21, including two centuries and nine half-centuries.
Although Mumbai’s Sarfaraz Khan was another in-form candidate, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) opted to replace Gaikwad with an opener, Jaiswal, for the World Test Championship Final.
