Rajasthan Royals missed their second IPL title by a whisker last season as they finished as the runners-up. This season, they are all set to go one step further as they will kick-off their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
RR vs SRH Team News: Prasidh Krishna OUT, Sandeep Sharma IN
This year they will be missing the services of one of their premier pacers Prasidh Krishna who has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. Prasidh was among the wickets in the last season and RR is surely going to miss his lethal pace.
The team management has named Punjab’s pacer the IPL experienced lad Sandeep Sharma who went surprisingly unsold in the IPL 2023 auctions. Sandeep won’t get to play right from the first game, as RR has other options in Navdeep Saini and Kuldeep Sen who was thoroughly impressive in his limited showing for RR las season.
Talking about their overseas contingent, the likes of Trent Boult, Adam Zampa, Donovan Ferreira, Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Obed McCoy, and Shimron Hetmyer have already joined the team camp. West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder is expected to join the team camp ahead of their opening game against SRH on April 2.
