Three matches and three defeats. Both the ‘Royals’ are sailing in the same ship in IPL 2019. Rajasthan have had some close defeats while Bangalore have seen some worse days at office but now both teams have the chance to register their first win and get things right.
Meanwhile, the availability of Australian players will boost both sides especially RCB.
Venue:
350 plus runs wee scored in the first game at this venue in IPL season 12. Expect similar conditions for the RR vs RCB match and with both sides loaded with big hitters, the bowlers will have to put in a little more effort.

Form guide:Â
RCB has had a dull season especially their pace bowling unit. Chahal meanwhile has been a lone shinning light. ABD, Kohli have shown glimpses of their class but nothing substantial so far. The form of their middle-order is another headache.
Like RCB, Rajasthan’s pace bowlers too had an erratic season so far with Jofra Archer being the exception. Their top order has produced individual brilliance but they haven’t stood up as an unit so far.
Key Numbers:
- Virat Kohli may be an all-conquering batsman but he doesn’t enjoy batting at Jaipiur. The RCB skipper hasn’t crossed 40 runs in six innings at this venue and has a strike rate of just 94.74. Not to forget that he averages only 21.27 against RR , his worst among all opponents. Interestingly his strike-rate against off-spinners is only 75.0. Over to K Gowtham and S Gopal.

Players in focus:
Marcus Stonis is a force to reckon with as an opener. He was promoted to this slot during the BBL recently and he slammed four fifties in ten innings with an average of 62.40. So expect him to walk out with Parthiv Patel to open the innings.

Jofra Archer has played three matches in Indian Premier League 2019 and has claimed three wickets. But his economy is 6.33 which is way lower than other RR pacemen(11.30).
