In an important news update, the Delhi Capitals (DC) will miss the services of their star overseas all-rounder Mitchell Marsh in the upcoming few matches of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) season. The Delhi Capitals will be facing the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on 8 April, 2023. It has not been the best of starts for the Delhi Capitals in the ongoing edition of the IPL as they have ended up losing their first two matches against Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.

RR vs DC: Why is Mitchell Marsh Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?

Australia’s big hitting all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is set to be unavailable for a few matches of the Indian Premier League 2023 season for the Delhi Capitals as he has travelled back home for his wedding. He will not be available for selection in the DC playing 11 during the RR vs DC IPL 2023 match on Saturday and there is no clear update as to when he will return to India for the remainder of the T20 competition. Marsh has not contributed much with the bat so far in the two games for the Delhi Capitals this season and big-hitter Rovman Powell is very much likely to make a return into the side after missing the game against Gujarat Titans.

He ended up scoring more than 250 runs last year in the IPL at a strike-rate of over 132 that included a couple of half-centuries as well. Marsh has also been in an incredible form at the international level for Australia and thus, the Delhi Capitals retained him for IPL 2023 season.
