MS Dhoni IPL 2022 RR vs CSK: Without any doubt, MS Dhoni is one of the most successful and popular cricketers in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Over the years as witnessed in the T20 tournament, the former Indian captain has performed magnificently well both as a captain and batsman. However, now with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all set to play their last league game of IPL 2022 season, the biggest question is that whether MS Dhoni will feature in the next edition of the IPL or not.
RR vs CSK IPL 2022: Is MS Dhoni Playing his last IPL Match? MS Dhoni to Play IPL 2023?
Just before the start of Indian Premier League 2022, the Chennai Super Kings came up with a big announcement that Ravindra Jadeja will be captaining the side this year. However, under Jadeja’s leadership, CSK managed to win just 2 out of their first 9 matches after which he relinquished the captaincy duties back to MS Dhoni for the remainder of the T20 season. Dhoni captained CSK to amazing victories against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
Earlier during this tournament, MS Dhoni revealed that he will definitely feature in the Chennai Super Kings camp for the IPL 2023 in some capacity. CSK will be playing their last league match against Rajasthan Royals on 20 May, 2022 (Friday) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. It is very much certain that Dhoni will likely captain Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2023.
“(Whether he’ll play next year) Definitely, because it will be unfair to not to say thank you to Chennai. Won’t be nice to do that to CSK fans,” said CSK captain MS Dhoni during the toss against Rajasthan Royals.
