IPL 2019 and no-balls haveĀ become a combined package. The tournament has seen plenty of drama over no-balls being noticed or unnoticed. But the one that happened during RR vs CSK was so intense that it even forced captain cool MS Dhoni to lose his cool.
Dhoni infact walked to the middle of the pitch to argue with the umpires and this is such a sensational happening that it even overshadowed Mitchell Santner’s last-ball six that won CSK a dramatic last ball win against RR.

Rayudu-Dhoni bring back CSK after early damageĀ
Chasing 152, Chennai were tottering at 15 for three and then 24 for four wickets inside the Powerplays. Dhawal Kulkarni removed Shane Watson on the fourth ball of the innings and Suresh Raina was run-out in the second over which increased his lengthy streak of poor scores.
du Plessis’ wicket in the fourth over and Jadhav’s dismissal fours balls later meant Chennai were in all sorts trouble. But Ambati Rayudu(57 off 47 balls) who has struggled in Indian Premier League season 12 so far made a telling contribution and brought Chennai back in the game by adding 95 runs for the fifth wicket.

The last over drama at JaipurĀ
However Rayudu was dismissed by Stokes in the 18th over and Chennai needed 18 off the last six balls. Jadeja slammed a six off the first ball and Stokes delivered a no-ball on the next delivery to make CSK favorites with Dhoni who was playing so well so far on strike.
But with 8 to win off 4 balls, Stokes bowled Dhoni (58 off 43 balls) to intensify the drama and on the next ball his full-toss was called a no-ball by the non-striker umpire. However after a signal from square-leg umpire it was revoked. This irked Dhoni so much that he walked in the ground and had a word with the umpires.
