It is quite unfortunate for the Delhi Capitals (DC) as their star player and captain Rishabh Pant will not be taking part in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) season as he is still recovering from a major car accident which he suffered earlier this year. After failing to qualify for the playoffs in the IPL 2022 season, the Delhi Capitals failed to have the best of starts in the IPL 2023 as well having suffered a poor 50-run loss against Lucknow Super Giants during their opening game of the ongoing T20 competition. Delhi Capitals will be eyeing to make a strong comeback against Gujarat Titans at their home venue.

Rishabh Pant IPL 2023 Salary
Despite missing out on this year’s IPL, Rishabh Pant will receive his full salary of INR 16 Crore from Delhi Capitals as confirmed by the BCCI. It’s important to mention that centrally contracted players are insured. According to BCCI’s regulations, if these players miss out on IPL due to injuries, the board pays them in full. The insurance company bears the entire cost, not the franchise they belong to.
