Rishabh Pant got injured during India’s T20 World Cup 2022 warmup matches. Rishabh wasn’t the first-choice keeper going into the World Cup as Dinesh Karthik was finishing games for the team with relative ease. During a warmup game against the hosts Australia, Pant was seen wearing a heavy strapping and an ice-pack on his right knee which clarified about the wicketkeeper’s injury at that time.
3. Rishabh Pant’s Car accident
Rishabh Pant met with a horrific road accident on 30th December early morning. The wicketkeeper batter’s car smashed into the divider and soon it caught fire. Pant was driving to his hometown Roorkee from Delhi, and it was 5:20 in the morning when the incident took place. The left-hander lucky enough to escape through the windshield but was injured badly.
Pant has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. He will be out of action for more than 6 months now as these sorts of injuries will take time to heal.
