Rishabh Pant accident: In a massive breaking news development, India’s star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident in Roorkee. The left-hander was recently part of the Indian Test team for the two-match Test series in Bangladesh which ended on 26 December, 2022 with India registering an incredible 3-wicket victory in the second Test to seal the series in their favour by a 2-0 margin.

According to ANI report, India cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident on the Delhi – Dehradun highway near the Roorkee border in which his car caught fire. It has been learnt that Pant’s car crashed into a divider and caught fire while the wicket-keeper batsman has been admitted to a nearby hospital with multiple injuries. However, it is still not clear whether the 25-year old cricketer was himself driving the car or not. While looking at the picture on the social media, his car has been brutally damaged after the crashing accident.

One of the reports also suggest that the cricketer was himself driving the car from Delhi to Roorkee. He felt a little sleepy on his way and accidently crashed into a divider on the highway. After having sustained several injuries on his head, back and leg, Pant has now been referred to a specialised hospital in Dehradun.

Earlier during this week, Rishabh Pant was not picked in the India squad for both the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka at home scheduled to begin in January, 2023. It was also reported that Pant will be attending some sort of strength training programme to strengthen his knee before the all-important Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia scheduled to take place in February – March 2023 consisting of 4 Test matches at home.
