It’s a ‘Royal’ battle in match no 32 of tata IPL. The Royal Challengers Bangalore are hosting Rajasthan Royals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium donning their ‘Green’ jersey. RCB is yet again being captained by Virat Kohli and their original captain Faf du Plessis will only bat as an Impact player. Ahead of the toss, RCB stunned everyone by sidelining Harshal Patel from the eleven.
RCB vs RR: Why is Harshal Patel Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
The Royal Challengers have not named Harshal Patel in the starting eleven. RCB is currently batting, and Harshal is among the substitutes. This means. Harshal could come into the eleven as an Impact player in the second innings when RCB bowls. As of now Harshal is not in the eleven and we can expect him to replace Faf du Plessis in the eleven in the second innings. Take a look what Virat Kohli said at the toss,
““It was pretty easy to choose, we’d have batted first. This wicket looks dry and it will get drier and might break up first. I didn’t say that to Sanju, but I’m very happy to bat first. We both get to do what we wanted. They informed me last time saying I might have to captain a couple of games, nothing I’m not used to doing. So I’m happy to step in, ready to continue from whatever Faf has been doing. The team has responded well, we are playing with a lot of energy and that showed in the last game. One change for us, Wayne Parnell is out and he will be replaced by David Willey. Faf continues to play as an impact sub.”

Harshal Patel IPL 2023 Price
Harshal Patel, the Indian fast bowler who is also known as Purple Patel, fetched an impressive ₹10.75 crore during the IPL Mega Auction, as RCB reacquired him. He had previously won the Purple Cap in the 2021 tournament, having taken 32 wickets. At the auction, there was intense competition between RCB and Sunrisers Hyderabad for Harshal’s services, but ultimately, the Bangalore franchise succeeded in securing his signature. Notably, Harshal had made his return to RCB before the IPL 2021 season, after being traded in from the Delhi Capitals.
