The 39th match of the IPL 2021 will see Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore cross swords with each other at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Both the teams have failed to get going in the second leg of the tournament and are in dire need of a win. While Virat Kohli-led side is placed third on the points table, the defending champions have lost the No.4 spot and are currently placed at the sixth spot.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma has won the toss at Dubai International Stadium and has forced the Virat Kohli-led side to bat first.

While Royal Challengers Bangalore made three changes bringing in Shahbaz Ahmed, Dan Christian and Kyle Jamieson in place of Navdeep Saini, Wanindu Hasaranga and Tim David, the Rohit Sharma-led side made one change.
The premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya after missing the first games of the second leg is finally back in the mix and has replaced Sourabh Tiwari in the playing XI. The returning of all-rounder back in the squad will be a massive boost for the defending champions as he will provide the perfect balance to the squad.

Royal Challengers and Mumbai Indians played this year’s season opener at MA Chidambaram Stadium and as expected there was no shortage of entertainment as the spectators witnessed a last-ball thriller. Asked to bat first, the Rohit Sharma-led side posted a total of 159 runs.
Chasing the target Royal Challengers Bangalore were in a spot of bother as they look early wickets however AB de Villiers kept them in the hunt but the tales got twisted when the swashbuckling batter was run out. With just 1 run needed off the last ball, the Virat Kohli-led side somehow managed to snatch the victory and take important two points.
