RCB vs CSK Live: Virat Kohli takes INCREDIBLE Catch to dismiss Ruturaj Gaikwad: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowling mainstay- Yuzvendra Chahal again came to their rescue just when Chennai Super Kings (CSK) openers looked dominant on the pitch. The spin bowler did the trick for RCB as he foxed Ruturaj Gaikwad and broke CSK’s 71 run opening partnership. Gaikwad got a thick edge, finely caught by Virat Kohli who came running from backward point to grab the catch. The CSK opener had to depart after scoring 38 runs.

The 24-year old was outplayed with the leg-spin. Gaikwad attempted to play a drive when he found an edge to the ball which was spectacularly caught the RCB skipper. Kohli dived forward to take grab it from both hands.

The doubts of the ball touching the ground during the catch were cleared as the decision went upstairs to the third umpire- Michael Gough.

Gaikwad smashed 38 off 26

The right-handed CSK opener looked in fine touch during CSK’s contest against Virat Kohli led side. Opening with senior player Faf du Plessis, Gaikwad jammed 71 run partnership before the latter departed.

In his innings, Gaikwad smashed 38 runs from 26 balls. He smashed one six and four fours during his innings. He had a whopping strike rate of 146.15.

Ruturaj Gaaikwad’s stint with bat for CSK

The Maharashtra player has been a boon for the yellow brigade ever since he has been a part of the franchise in IPL 2020.

In IPL 2021, he has walked for the franchisee on nine occasions and smashed 322 runs. He has an average of 40.25 and has smashed three fifties so far.
