RCB Playing 11 for RR vs RCB, Match 13 of IPL 2022: Player Availability & Team News

After having assembled an excellent side in the auction, RCB started off their campaign on a disappointing note failing to defend a over 200 against Punjab Kings in their season opener. They are missing some of their first choice players but came back strongly against KKR to bounce them out and win the 2nd game in a brilliant manner. They did lose quite a lot of wickets in that game which they shouldn’t have, they wont mind it as long as they got 2 points in the game.

RR vs RCB: No Australian available for RCB
One of their retained players in Glenn Maxwell has joined with the squad but he wont be available for the game as CA contracted players are available only from 6th of April. RCB take on RR on 5th of April and hence Glenn Maxwell will not be available for selection.
The Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is yet to join with the team and he wont be available for selection either. Though RCB miss these two first choice players, their excellent performance in the auction table has helped them cover these losses with apt backups for these 2 players.
Probable RCB Playing 11
- Faf du Plessis
- Anuj Rawat
- Virat Kohli
- Sherfane Rutherford
- Dinesh Karthik
- Wanindu Hasaranga
- David Willey
- Shahbaz Ahmed
- Harshal Patel
- Akashdeep Singh
- Mohammed Siraj
RCB were in a spot of bother in the previous game when they lost early wickets in a tricky chase, but they maximised their resources by promoting David Willey and Shahbaz Ahmed ahead of Dinesh Karthik to play out the spinners from KKR which paid off big time. Dinesh Karthik is relatively weak against spinners and they made sure that Dinesh Karthik is not facing spinners by delaying his entry point. With Glenn Maxwell not available, RCB would be looking to go in with the same XI and the same tactics can be expected from them as RR have two quality spinners under their disposal.
