Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu is disappointed on missing out on a big score in the second ODI against Windies. The middle-order batsman admitted that he missed a golden opportunity.
Rayudu believes he will be able to do it the next time
Coming to bat at number four, Rayudu scored a composed knock of 73 runs of 80 balls. Importantly his partnership of 139 runs with Indian captain Virat Kohli enabled the team to recover from the early loss of openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma. Rayudu looked set for a big score but he was castled by Nurse in the 33rd over.
Speaking after the innings, the Indian batsman admitted that it was a golden opportunity for him but he feels that hopefully he will be able to do it the next time.
When asked about batting at No. 4, the right-hand batsman noted that all his life he has batted in the middle order, so he is used to it. He explained that at this position the challenge is keeping the score ticking.
Rayudu thanks Dhoni and CSK
At the same time the right-hand batsman mentioned that the 2018 edition of the IPL in which he scored plenty of runs in the top order was a great platform. He said he is thankful to Dhoni at CSK, who helped him bat higher up.

In response Windies levelled the score but couldn’t cross he line. The match ended in a tie with Shai Hope producing a brilliant hundred under pressure.
