Rajasthan Royals Instagram: Although the first half of the IPL 2021 has been suspended, plenty of franchises are still uploading posts on social to keep in touch with their fans. However, it’s the Rajasthan Royals social media admin who has often caught the attention of the masses with his quirky takes, and memes.
Recently, the Rajasthan Royals admin posted a picture from their training session and drew comparisons with one of Bollywood’s popular movies ‘Dhamaal’.
Rajasthan Royals Instagram: Manan Vohra’s Dhamaal moment
Dhamaal is regarded as one of the finest modern day comedies. The movie has led to a lot of memes, which even the Royals admin was inclined to use. The Rajasthan Royals compared a scene from the movie and their training session, in which Javed Jaffery’s character was unintentionally moved to the front as the rest of his friends moved back.
In this case, it was specialist batsman Manan Vohra, who was at the front, while, three other players were behind him. The post was lauded by fans all over, and even ended up getting over 25k likes on social media.
IPL start date announced
The first half of the IPL 2021 season was brought to a standstill as a result of the growing COVID 19 cases in India. What made it even more difficult to continue was the fact that players within the Bio Bubble started getting infected with the virus.
However, as per recent reports, the BCCI are determined to host the remaining fixtures from mid September to early October. Dubai and Sharjah are the alternative venues that are seriously being considered.
“The BCCI has spoken to all the stakeholders and the likely start could be between September 18th to 20th. Since September 18 is a Saturday and 19 a Sunday, it is more likely that you would want to re-start it on a weekend date,” the BCCI source said.
