Rajasthan Royals are just hanging in there after their victory against David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad where they did the impossible courtesy Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag.
The match had a tense finish and in the heat of the moment, Rahul Tewatia and SRH fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed were involved in a heated argument where both the players were animated and in the end, David Warner had to intervene to calm things down in the field.
Rahul Tewatia’s animated fight with Khaleel Ahmed
Rahul Tewatia did an unthinkable against KXIP when he hit 5 maximums in an over to buy a miraculous victory for their team and since then, he increased the expectations on him whenever he came onto bat.
He pulled off another heroic effort against SRH when RR were down and out and helped his team chase down 159 runs. When RR needed 8 runs from the final over, David Warner decided to give the ball to Khaleel Ahmed who didn’t pose much of a threat to the RR batsmen and they won the game with ease. In the process, Rahul Tewatia and Khaleel Ahmed were involved in a verbal fight which got ugly after RR hit the winning runs.

Dream season for Rahul Tewatia
All their overseas players were back in the hut and RR were staring at their 5th straight defeat but 2 Indians joined hands together to pull off a heist which will be remembered by the fans for a very long time. The way Rahul Tewatia handled world’s best leg spinner in Rashid Khan in the 18th over of the game where RR needed 36 off 18 balls was the highlight of Rahul Tewatia’s innings. He hit hat-trick of fours against Rashid Khan to bring the target to 22 off 2 overs.
Rahul Tewatia has scored 189 runs in the season so far with a strike rate of 152 to go with his 5 wickets with the ball. He is turning out to be a real asset for Rajasthan Royals in this edition of IPL.
