The 2nd half of the Pakistan Super League has picked up speed from where it left off in Pakistan and the wickets in UAE have been extraordinary to say the least. There has been some scintillating action from some of the top tier cricketers around the globe and the fans are being treated with some wonderful cricket.
The 20th match saw two table toppers clashing against each other with Lahore Qalandars taking on Islamabad United. The game turned out to be an amazing turnaround of sorts for Islamabad United as they won the game from nowhere to grab 2 points against the mighty Lahore.
Asif Ali’s majestic innings ended with a Hit-wicket
Islamabad United decided to bat first after winning the toss against a bowling line up that boasts of Shaheen Afridi and Rashid Khan. The Lahore’s new ball bowlers ran through Islamabad’s top order batting and they were reduced to 20 for 4 in first six overs. Soon, they found themselves reeling at 24 for 5 at the end of 7th over mark. It was expected that Islamabad would bundle out inside 100 but Asif Ali played one of the best counter attacking innings under pressure to give his team a winning score of 152 runs.

Asif Ali smashed Rashid Khan for 2 sixes which turned out to be the talking points of his innings and eventually ended up scoring 75 off 43 balls including 5 maximums and 6 boundaries. He was trying to accelerate at death but the pace of Shaheen Afridi forced him to go deep inside the crease resulting in a hit wicket and he departed in the 19th over of the innings after having walked in at the 7th over mark.
Always an unlucky dismissal, but Asif Ali does great damage ?@IsbUnited put on a fighting total, from being reduced to 2️⃣0️⃣/5️⃣ in the seventh over ?

Mohammad Hafeez’s lack of form hurting Lahore
It was expected that Lahore would chase down the target with ease after the kind of start their openers managed to give but Lahore Qalandars’s middle order messed up big time as no batsman managed to score in double digits thereby handing over 2 points to ISU. Lahore were bowled out for 124 inside 19 overs chasing 153.
