Andre Russell managed to score 13 runs off 6 balls. The Quetta Gladiators all-rounder couldn’t take the field in the second innings of the match after being diagnosed with a concussion while being hit by the bouncer off Musa Khan. Although, Russell was alright during the over when he was hit on the helmet off a short delivery, but may have felt discomfort after leaving the crease. Right-arm pacer Naseem Shah was allowed as a concussion substitute for the injured all-rounder. However, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan was reportedly unhappy with Naseem Shah being drafted as the like for like replacement.
