PSL 2022: Ben Cutting, Usman Qadir to miss Eliminator. Here’s the update

The Pakistan Super League 2022 has been quite entertaining for the people watching it on TV or the fans at the stadium. This is due to the close contests in most of the matches in the league stage. The last league fixture of this edition saw the match going down to the wire, and Peshawar Zalmi winning a  super over against Lahore Qalandars. The same is expected in the playoffs of PSL 2022 as well. But, here is the latest news from the tournament regarding the availability of key players.

PSL 2022: Ben Cutting, Usman Qadir to miss Eliminator

As per the sources of Geo News, it is being said that the 4 members of Peshawar Zalmi team have tested positive ahead of the playoffs of Pakistan Super League 2022. This includes the likes of Ben Cutting, Usman Qadir, Sohail Khan, and batting coach Hashim Amla. The all rounder Ben Cutting scored 197 runs, while Usman Qadir picked up 8 wickets in the tournament. While Sohail Khan returned wickeless in 2 matches.

All the 3 players did not feature in the last league game of Peshawar Zalmi, which will certainly be a respite for the team to keep their preparations going for the crucial playoffs matches. According to the PCB protocols, all of them would have to isolate themselves for seven days, which also means they will miss the finals of the tournament as well.

Players to Watch Out for Peshawar Zalmi in Eliminator of PSL 2022

1. Shoaib Malik

The most experienced T20 player of the Peshawar Zalmi team can keep his cool during pressure situations and has been in terrific form in this tournament. In 10 matches, he has amassed 346 runs.

2. Wahab Riaz 

The captain of Zalmi team has find out his right line lengths in the last 2 matches and would look to continue the same form. In 9 matches, Wahab has scalped 9 wickets.

3. Mohammad Haris

The youngster has displayed the ability to stitch partnerships and accelerate at the right point of time. In 4 matches of PSL 2022, he has garnered 154 runs.
