After serving an eight month ban, Prithvi Shaw scored his 9th First Class century against Baroda on his Ranji Trophy return. It took him only 84 balls to reach the three figure mark and he got there in style with a six.
Shaw reached the 150 mark from 146 balls including 14 fours and 4 sixes. He also scored a quickfire 66 in the first innings with his fifty coming off just 37 balls.
Coincidentally, his ton came on the 31st anniversary of Sachin Tendulkar‘s century on his Ranji debut. He’s been in some form after his return from the ban, scoring 240 runs from just 5 matches in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Twitter Hails Shaw
Twitter erupted after Shaw reached his 9th FC century, everyone was praising him and wishing his return to the national side for the longest format of the game. Here are some of the tweets applauding his return:

The hunger for runs since his return can be seen in his eyes. And he should be back in the test squad soon.
