MI Playing 11: In a brand new Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season, the Mumbai Indians (MI) will be hoping to get their hands onto their record sixth trophy. The biggest setback for MI is that Suryakumar Yadav is doubtful for their tournament opener as he is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) recovering from a thumb injury. The likes of Tilak Verma, Tim David and Kieron Pollard will form part of the middle-order.

The duo of Sanjay Yadav and Mayank Markande are likely to start in the MI playing 11 as the first-choice spinners.
