Team India’s historic win in Australia is garnering appreciation from all corners and now Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India and President Ram Nath Kovind have congratulated the Indian team for their stunning performance.

Narendra Modi was delighted to see the Indian team defeat Australia in Australia and he congratulated the team on Twitter.
In a tweet, Modi said, ‘A historic cricketing accomplishment in Australia! Congratulations to the Indian Cricket Team for the hard-fought and richly deserved series victory. The series witnessed some memorable performances and solid teamwork. Best wishes for the various games ahead.’

Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India too appreciated the Indian team and captain Kohli for this amazing achievement.
He said in his tweet, ‘Congratulations to imVkohli and his team for reaching one of Indian cricket’s final frontiers and winning a test series in Australia for the first time. Gritty batting, marvellous fast bowling and a fine team effort has done us proud. Let’s make a habit of it!’.

India defeat AUS, win first series Down Under
Team India defeated Australia 2-1 as Sydney Test ended in a draw. India began the series by winning the Adelaide Test but the home team fought back and defeated India in the second Test.

But then Kohli’s men showed tremendous resilience and outplayed Australia in the third and the fourth Test. Cheteshwar Pujara led India’s batting department by scoring three top-class hundreds while Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 21 wickets.
Team India celebrate win in style
After the Test, Kohli and Ravi Shastri admitted that this is the biggest achievement of their career and the Indian captain noted that the bowling unit made this win possible.
Team India had a fantastic celebration after the win in the dressing room and after reaching the hotel.
