Virat Kohli is known for his friendships with opposition players. And this thing reached a new height when he was spotted with Kane Williamson on the sidelines during the final T20 match.
Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson chatting together
This India-New Zealand series was marketed as the battle between fire and ice by the broadcaster ahead of the series. But as we come closer to the end of it, we have seen
something that epitomizes the true spirit of gentleman’s game. Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson were seen by the boundary line on the live television. They were seen chatting in a very light-hearted mood. Apart from being captains of their respective countries, both are also termed as part of ‘fabulous 4’ of the current generation of batsmanship. Notably, Kohli and Williamson both are not part of playing XIs for the last T20 match of the series.

Team India completes the whitewash
After winning the toss, stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma elected to bat first on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Mount Maunganui. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma started off brilliantly for India. Rahul made 45 while Rohit retired hurt after making magnificent 60. And that halted India’s momentum in many ways. With the help of Shreyas Iyer’s 33 in the end, India posted 163 on the board.
In reply, Kiwis started terribly in the chase and lost 3 wickets very early. After that though, Tim Seifert and Ross Taylor made a brisk partnership to take New Zealand very close with respective half-centuries. But stunning collapse afterwards meant that India take the series 5-0 on New Zealand shores first time ever.
