After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Rajasthan Royals got off to an excellent start at the top as the opening pair of Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal looked in fabulous touch. They got their side off to a blazing start adding 53 runs for the first wicket in just 5.3 overs. Lewis played an exciting cameo of 36 runs off 21 balls while Jaiswal smashed 49 runs off 36 deliveries. The Punjab Kings bowlers also continued to pick wickets at regular intervals. However, the Rajasthan Royals’ batters kept on playing the big shots as Mahipal Lomror smacked a crucial cameo of 43 runs off only 17 balls that included 4 sixes and 2 fours.

But towards the end, Arshdeep picked up a remarkable five-wicket haul that saw Rajasthan Royals getting bowled out for 188 runs in their quota of 20 overs. For Punjab Kings, Mohammed Shami also bowled well picking three crucial wickets while Ishan Porel and Harpreet Brar finished with a scalp each.
