Punjab’s skipper Shikhar Dhawan is still unavailable due to injury, but the team has made a few more changes including of Prabhsimran Singh who is among the substitutes.

Once again it is Prabhsimran Singh who has been benched and is present in the Impact players option. The right-hand batter hailing from Punjab has been out of runs eversince hitting his maide IPL fifty against RR at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. The Kings have always substituted Prabhsimran Singh whenever they are fielding first at the start of the match this season. This has been a template for PBKS, and once again we can expect him to come into the eleven as an ‘Impact Player’ when PBKS bats. Here’s what Sam Curran said at the toss,

“We will bowl first, did well in the last game and we’ll take some confidence, conditions will not change a lot. Shikhar is getting closer, but he’ll miss out today. He’s a quality player, but the younger lot will have to shape up, Livingstone is back and we have Ellis back in place of KG.”

Prabhsimran Singh IPL 2023 Salary

In February 2022, Prabhsimran Singh had set his base price at INR 20 Lakh during the mega auction before the IPL 2022 season. However, PBKS eventually bought him for INR 60 Lakh. Although he played only one match in the 2022 season, the wicket-keeper batsman was retained by PBKS at the same price during the mini auction in December ahead of IPL 2023.
