Rohit Sharma Abusing Umpire in PBKS vs MI: The defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are yet to perform with their best of abilities so far in this 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) but still they have registered two super wins. The Rohit Sharma-led team defeated Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad this season and suffered losses against Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. Mumbai Indians are currently playing their fifth match of the season against Punjab Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Rohit Sharma Abuses Umpire
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first on a tricky Chepauk wicket, MI skipper Rohit Sharma was wrongly given out by the on-field umpire on just the fifth delivery of the game. In the first over of the match, on the fifth delivery, Rohit was originally given out after Punjab Kings appealed for a strangle down the leg-side but the MI captain straightaway took the Decision Review System and eventually the replays showed that it had come off his shirt. However, Rohit was clearly very much disappointed with the on-field umpire’s decision.

The Punjab Kings have made just one change to their playing XI with leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi coming in for Murugan Ashwin. Bishnoi will be playing his first game of the season today after having finished as the second highest wicket-taker and the most economical bowler for the Punjab Kings last year in the UAE. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have went ahead with an unchanged side in this match. This is Mumbai Indians’ last game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and will then move to Delhi for their next four league matches.
