Today’s IPL match (5 May) features Punjab Kings (PBKS) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The match number 53 of the season will take place at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, starting at 3:30 PM IST.
With 10 games played, CSK has won five games and lost the remaining five. CSK will aim to register their sixth win of the season and stay in contention for the knockout rounds.
With just four wins in 10 matches, Punjab sits in seventh place in the standings with 8 points to their names.
For CSK, Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman have been instrumental, picking up 13 and 14 wickets, respectively. However, Mustafizur has flown back to Bangladesh attending his national duty. Pathirana has joined the team after missing the last game against the Punjab Kings.
PBKS have Harshal Patel (14 wickets), Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Chahar. They will aim to restrict the formidable CSK batting lineup. Harshal was suspended for back-to-back waist-high no-balls (in the last match). He will continue properly in this match.
