The Pakistan and West Indies team are up against each other in the limited overs series in National Stadium, Karachi. After a long time, an international team has visited Pakistan for playing bilateral series, but there has certainly been clouds over the series being continued for the planned matches due to the covid positive cases.
PAK vs WI: 5 more members of Visitors Tested positive
The West Indies team has been receiving setbacks, as soon as they landed in Pakistan. The 3 members, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell, and Mayers were tested positive ahead of the 1st fixture of the series. Then, the Pakistan team have won the T20I series, by securing victory in first two T20Is. In the latest announcement by the Windies Cricket on Twitter, 5 more members have tested positive ahead of the 3rd T20I.

The five members include 3 players ( Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, and Justin Greaves), Assistant Coach Roddy Estwick, and Team Physician Dr Akshai Mansingh.
A statement then said,
All three players will therefore miss the upcoming matches and all five individuals will remain isolated from the rest of the West Indies squad and are now under the care and supervision provided by the medical officials. They will remain in isolation for ten (10) days or until they return negative PCR test results.
Will Pakistan vs West Indies series continue?
The total covid cases in the West Indies camp have totalled to 9, and it is being doubted that the touring party will still be able to field 11 players in the remaining matches of the series, which includes 1 T20I and 3 ODIs. With Devon Thomas also being injured, it is certainly not possible for the West Indies team to continue playing in the series. The both boards will meet on Thursday morning to discuss about the series.

“CWI and PCB Officials will be meeting on Thursday morning, once all members of the touring party have been tested again, to determine whether the tour can continue.”
