PAK vs SL 1st Test: Sri Lanka quick ruled out, replacement named

Sri Lanka have arrived in Pakistan as the latter is ready for Test return to the country after a decade. The islanders have been dealt with a massive blow ahead of the first Test in Rawalpindi from December 11th, with quick bowler Suranga Lakmal being ruled out for the series. The 32-year old fast-bowler is suffering from dengue. Lakmal did not travel to Pakistan.
Replacement named
Asitha Fernando has been called up to replace Lakmal, confirmed Sri Lanka Cricket Board’s CEO Ashley de Silva. Fernando has been a regular feature of Emerging Teams and Sri Lanka’s U-23 teams in the recent months.
