England skipper Jos Buttler is prone to miss out on the entire Pakistan tour due to an injury. Buttler has caught a calf injury in Pakistan while preparing for the forthcoming T20 International series. Although, some reports suggest that the wicketkeeper batter may be considered for the last couple of games.
England are supposed to play 7-match T20 International series versus Pakistan, starting on September 22, in Karachi. The first four games of the series will be played at the same venue. The remaining three matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The sides will wrap up the tour by October 2. This is England’s first tour of Pakistan in the last 17 years. The last time they toured the country was in 2005.
A report in Daily Mail stated that Buttler’s medical team has advised him to take things slowly. In absence of the righty batter, all-rounder Moeen Ali will lead the English side in the sub-continent.

Buttler may play last two T20Is
More to the point, Buttler, on Thursday (September 15), revealed that he may play the final two games in Lahore considering the medical advice. He also added that he was on the famous tour to nurture his relationship with Matthew Mott, England’s newest white-ball coach, said the report.
Buttler, regarding the matter, said, “Speaking to the physios, it is an injury that is not bad, but one that has a risk of recurrence. You don’t want to push it too soon, especially with what we have ahead.”
Furthermore, “We have warm-up games in Australia (ahead of the T20 World Cup) so there is no desperate need to get as fit as possible. We’ve just got to take it as it comes. If I was available for the last couple (of games), that would be the best-case scenario at the minute. It might come earlier than that, it might not at all, but the picture will become clearer in a week or so,” added Buttler.

England on historic mission
“As captain, coming back to Pakistan after a long time, I felt like it was important, whether I played the games or not,” he quoted.
The series is vital deeming the upcoming T20 World Cup preparations and Buttler missing it out against the Asia Cup finalists has to be a concern for the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), but the ECB would rather ensure the captain’s fitness as the ICC mega event comes closer.
