PAK vs AUS: In a massive news update, Australia’s left-arm spinner Ashton Agar has tested positive for Covid-19 and has subsequently been ruled out of the first ODI against Pakistan scheduled on 29 March at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The three-match ODI series between hosts Pakistan and Australia is now under some serious threat as two of the visiting players, Ashton Agar and Jos Inglis have tested positive for Covid-19. This is a very historic moment for Pakistan Cricket as Australia is touring here after 24 years.

Cricket Australia (CA) have confirmed that Ashton Agar has tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the day and has now been ruled out of the entire Pakistan vs Australia three-match ODI series. This is a huge blow for the visiting Australian team as Agar was certain to be part of the playing 11 in the first ODI on Tuesday. The Aaron Finch-led team will now be without the trio of Jos Inglis, Ashton Agar and Mitchell Marsh for the first ODI game against Pakistan.
“Australian spinner Ashton Agar tested positive to Covid this morning, making him unavailable for the one-day international series against Pakistan in Lahore,” said a statement released by Cricket Australia.
