“It is not easy to play swing bowling. Trust me!” Shane Watson backs India

Former Australian great all-rounder Shane Watson is in favour of the travelling side. He said there is nothing to blame on India as playing in England is not easy especially when you are travelling once-in-a-three-year. He backed the Men in Blue by quoting the current Indian line-up has performed much better than any other side against England in their home soil.

Watson compared the bowling line-up of England and Australia against India, and he found the guests on the better side.

In the ongoing Test series against England, India has shown the devastating performances through the bat. The skipper Virat Kohli and quite a few efforts of Cheteshwar Pujara have saved the pride of the Indian batting line-up, but remaining ones haven’t been able to come to the fore. India lost the five matches Test series 3-1 to England, and they have been criticised for their performance at the British soil, but Shane Watson has a different perspective.

“It is not easy to play swing bowling. Trust me when Australia travel to England for Ashes next year, it won’t be easy for them also. England is the only place where the ball swings that much primarily due to conditions. You can’t land in England once every three years and be successful,”

Shane Watson answered the criticism well on the performance of late India batters, he said if you check the records, Indian middle order have played well against Australia. He recalled the innings of Rahane and KL Rahul, and he found the reason behind the loss of the travelling side is ‘Duke’. According to Watson, Kookaburra will stop swinging after 10-15 overs, but Duke will continue turning all day.

Now, India and England will lock horns for the last Test at the Kennington Oval, London on 7th September 2018 and this will be a damp squib for Indian fans as ‘The favourites’ have lost the series by 3-1.
