It has become a norm in the lockdown period that each and every player have begun to voice out their opinion regarding various aspects of this wonderful game of cricket. The latest to pop up in this list is India and RCB’s speedster in Umesh Yadav who picked an ideal playing XI for India among the current active players.
It is a well known fact that Indian cricket is spoilt for choices at the moment and the bench strength is second to none, the very reason that most of the players don’t get enough opportunities to showcase their talent at the highest level even after performing well at the domestic level.
Umesh Yadav wants Rahul to make a comeback in tests
India have managed to form a solid core in the form of Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane in the longer format after the retirement of legends like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, and VVS Laxman. The current core of India’s middle order helped to endure a smooth transition period which is not an easy phase for any international cricket team. The likes of Pakistan and Sri Lanka are still struggling after the retirement of their stalwarts stand tall as an example.
The tearaway quick backs KL Rahul to open the innings along with Mayank Agarwal and pushes Rohit Sharma to no:3 which leaves no space for the new wall Cheteshwar Pujara.

Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, in my opinion, should come back into the side. Then, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja
Backs experienced Saha over young and fearless Pant
The long standing debate now is the wicket-keeper slot as India have 2 contrasting characters as their options. The Vidarbha pacer decided to back experienced Saha over Rishabh Pant and also said that Pant is young and has a lot to learn.
As for the wicketkeeper, it is very tough to choose between Wriddhiman Saha and Rishabh Pant. But, as a wicketkeeper, there is no doubt that Saha is better. Pant is still young and he has a lot to learn but he has the talent.
In the pace department, Umesh Yadav told that he would play any 3 from Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and himself.
